Boracay is a relative small island with 5200 local inhabitants. The island is about 7 kilometers long and on the smallest point about 1 kilometer wide. It's a holiday paradise especially loved by Japanese and Korean tourists. Massive tourism is starting here and directly influences the prices and makes Boracay relative expensive compared with other tourist destinations in the Philippines. (as alternative we can recommend Malapascua Island) , Boracay is an island with white beaches ideal for sun-and water sport lovers.
The three biggest Barangays (neighbourhoods) Yapak, Balabag and Manoc-Manoc and the smaller settlements are connected with a combination of pads and sand roads. To reach Boracay we have several possibilities one is a flight to caticlan. From there it's 20 minutes by boat to Boracay. Make early your reservation because especially in high season it's quickly fully booked. To reach Boracay you also have the possibility of a flight to Kalibo. From there it's a two hour drive from Kalibo to caticlan. From Roxas City it is a four hour drive to caticlan
When you really love a beach and water sport holiday and a crowded nightlife then Boracay is the right destination for you.
